What is a boudoir session at Umbra?
An Umbra session is a private, unhurried photoshoot in natural light, held at the studio in Lx Factory, Lisbon. The work moves through clothed editorial, artistic nude, and erotic portraiture, at the pace of whoever's in front of the camera.
Sienna runs the room. There's no assistant, no other clients, no audience. Wardrobe comes out. Music goes on. The conversation starts before the camera does, and the camera doesn't come up until you've stopped thinking about it.
The light comes through tall windows and shifts as the session goes, soft and quiet in the morning, warmer through the afternoon. Most shoots last long enough for the room to change a few times.
You've probably thought about doing a shoot. Then left it. Waited. Told yourself you'd come back to it. The studio is here when you're ready.
Why book a boudoir or intimate photoshoot?
People book intimate photoshoots to mark a milestone, celebrate a partner, gift something personal, or to reconnect with their own body after a period of change.
Some come to mark a year, a relationship, a body that's been through something. Some come because they've spent too long in clothes that don't fit who they are now. Some come for a partner. Some come for themselves and tell no one.
Most arrive a little nervous. That's expected. The work begins with conversation, and the camera doesn't come out until the room feels like yours.
What happens during a session?
An Umbra session begins with a free pre-shoot consultation call, followed by a directed studio shoot at Lx Factory, image curation and editing, and final delivery through a private gallery. The full process is designed for privacy, comfort, and direction at every stage.
Session options and pricing
Umbra offers two session lengths. The Signature session is €640 and includes a 2-hour shoot with a personalised album. The Essential session is €490 and includes a 1-hour shoot with the album available as an add-on.
